Today in gaming: Sony announced at GDC today that Zombie Studios' Blacklight: Retribution -- a free first person shooter -- and Primal Carnage: Genesis from Lukewarm Media will both be available for their upcoming Playstation 4 console. This is part of their PlayStation Pub Fund project, which helps independent game studios launch their projects based on advance money provided by Sony in exchange for an advance against the royalties.
Sony then went on to list a total of 25 new game titles slated to be available for the Playstation 4 and invited game developers to visit their new developer portal page on their Web site, which directly competes against XBOX Live's developer connection by offering a significantly easier setup and helpful resources at no cost. This new page is part of an overall strategy to minimize the amount of hassle designers have to go through to get their games published.
